Roles a bit more clearly defined.

Yikes are the weeks flying by! Work and training and now I get to blog again before I go to bed. Tomorrow I've got the day off so's I can go and have the entire weekend at Carnage, a convention that I used to go to on a regular basis in my youth. Or at least before I went to T.O. for school. I'm excited, the entire apartment is actually. Steve's trying to decide which M:tG decks to bring along with the UFS. There was some mention about Yu-Gi-Oh! in there as well, but it remains to be seen whether or not he's willing to deal with the certain heckling from Adam and myself. Adam's just shut his door to the world so who the hell knows what he's doing in preparation.

Me? I'm packing clothes, some cards (just decks and my UFS rare binder for trades maybe), listening to my new CD (details on what to come later), and the Star Wars d20 core books for a session I registered for. After I finish this post and that, I'm going to get the hell to bed. I've been wiped out since ten.

Yes, me, Jae wanted to go to sleep at ten. Odd isn't it?

*EDIT The next part of my post deals with my job. According to my employers' Electronic Code of Conduct I can't mention my workplace specifically by name in a public forum like this one. Anywhere potentially anyone can find and read what's written, you've got to be really careful about what you put down.

Of course if you know me at all, you'll know where I work. I just can't bitch about people if kids can find it online and know it was someone about someone they know, perhaps even them.

What I AM allowed to say is that I have a job, I work with kids, I have an awesome set of upper management (I actually mean that too. There's some really useless meatsacks wasting space here, don't get me wrong. But I don't report to them.), get along pretty well with my staff, some I'd even call friends, and I go home both happy and tired almost every day. Truth be told, I haven't been posting a lot because I wasn't sure what specifically I could get canned for here, and since I've been wrapped up in really digging my heels in anyways. It's been fun.

Long story short, if you know me and you leave a comment please don't use a name about the job. I can't post it or I could get fired. They take that stuff very seriously (I work with kids after all), and I LIKE my job. Thanks.

Works been pretty good for the most part.. Some behavior issues to deal with every now and then of course but nothing too nasty. Halloween happened which was pretty sweet (and yes I got to go trick or treating, keepin' the streak alive!) though they didn't carve pumpkins until today. Day after and all but whatever, it amused everyone and the entire childcare wing smelled like pumpkin!

What did your intrepid author get to do during the Halloween party? I had a tape recorder, a game called 'Fairy Tale' (also known as '...and then' to some) and a whole bunch of kids from ages 5 to 14. They went youngest to oldest recording the next part of the story. Needless to say there was lots of death, poop, and explosions of course, but it was/is freakin' HILARIOUS. I even got cake. It was tasty. As only free cake can be.

My biggest problem this week actually was being shorts staffed as my minions called out for some silly preference of watching the sox parade, the aforementioned discipline problems and you know what one major problem for childcare professionals is? The god damn fucking meds kids get these days. See, we pick them up after school and have them for 3 plus hours and guess, just GUESS when their meds start wearing off. You betcha! Right after school ends! HOO-FUCKING-RAY!

Now some of them really need to be on what their on to survive a day at school. And off them they're just fine actually. In fact I like a lot of the kids that give us the biggest problems sometimes. Off them meds they're great kids, and on them they're great too.

It's that in-between state.

Youth personalities adjusting to chemical balances within their bodies changing = my group leaders worst nightmares. It's awful. We almost literally witness explosions of energy and very visible mood swings happen sometimes in spans of minutes and sometimes very long hours. If it were just them it would be hilarious. It's the collateral damage we have to minimize and prevent.

You don't think minutes is a big deal? Take a monkey, give it speed, set it loose in a classroom. Then sit back and bear witness.

Enough on that though!

The Pats are facing off against Indy this weekend. This will be fun to watch.

The Revs are in the playoffs. Go Revs!

The Bruins actually have a winning record going into their division series.

The NLL lacrosse season was uncanceled! The Blazers are the only team not to confirm, but their the expansion team so I hope that's the delay.

The Celtics (I don't care all that much, but I live here so it's a bit difficult to escape) have been picked to win the East. Though from what I've understood in years past, teams with losing records went to the playoffs from the East. I hope the division's become a bit tougher and they have a real chance, instead of a chance in hell chance.

Well toodles, this thing was not supposed to b this long and rambly.

Did I mention that the Red Sox were the best team in baseball? That we've got another World Series? I may have forgotten stuff.

FUCK YEAH!
