oh lordy save my soul

At least I'm hanging out with Katy for a while before I go back and work for 23 hours a day again. I really want this semester to end. Badly.

It was Sophoclese, in the Atrium, with the Sword of Damoclese.

1: Sir Isaac Newton
2: Leonardo Pisano Fibonacci
3: Max Karl Ernst Ludwig Planck

These three would make quite the devius team of super villains. Newton's already proven his worth as an antagonist. Someone with time on there hands should do something about the other two. And who started the rumor that J.K. Rowling was richer then Queen Elizabeth II? I mean yeah, she's getting sweet royalties I'm sure but 280 Million Pounds is a lot. Granted, I'm sure there are a few people who do have more then that.

Back to the essay.

Counting blessings is suprisingly hard to do.

So I'm in a great mood. I'm still sick, better but not done yet, and I just came from a class in which I really don't understand. I do. I get it. It just took an extra half hour of talking to the Prof outside of class for the light to finally go on in my head. Human Biological Aspects, you lied to me. I was promised no math. NO MATH! Why am I reviewing Algebraic notation! WHY WHY WHY! Stupid science credit...

US Thanksgiving is almost here. I like having two Thanksgivings. I've got my orange juice, tea, multi-spectrum vitamins, and the best excuse to sleep ever working overtime. And I still don't think I'll be 90% for the food though. Oh well. Good news is that we have at least seven people showing up this year. That's almost a 100% increase from last years four. And while I am looking forward to dead bird, I'm more actually looking forward to a day without doing homework. That's right. Friday (we pushed it back a day because of tests and classes for everybody, including me) I'm doing nothing school related before the feast or after. NOTHING. It's Kung Fu Film Fridays then too. I might go to that or not. I think I'm going to go shopping. I still have presents to buy for the holidays and various birthdays. I also haven't been in the Eaton Center for a long time. Maybe they're done with the renovations? I wouldn't know so I'll have to go check it out! Hmm... I haven't been in an arcade in even longer. That upsets and unsettles me. I think I'll do that too. AH! I'm excited now! TGI freakin' F! That means back to work so I CAN do that though.

biggest problem with disease is that it spreads

Why is it when you most need it you can't sleep. I'm sicker then a plauge rat with syphalis and all I can do is lie in bed staring at my ceiling. I started at 9:30ish and it's a very boring ceiling. God damn immune system better start working or Thanksgiving's going to suck. I have a damn essay to write too. I want Katy. Feel so bad right now. Stupid parasitic bioforms. Damn you all to the hell for microscopic organisms! I know they have special tortures just for things like you...

hell is so cold this time of year

GO ARGOS!!!

There's my obligatory shout out to my CFL team of choice (mostly because I live in Toronto) who just romped over the BC Lions tonight to win the Grey Cup. Sweet! I mean, the Lions could have had the decency not to miss the extra point and let me win another $10 from the squares game at Katy's house. I guess I had already won the second and third quarters though and didn't really need to take the game too.

And for my next trick, I'm going to make Pericles my bitch!

It's early outside

People who hit late in a game like rugby are not nice people. I hesitate to even call them people. That sort of utter rubbish puts people in the hospital. It's a damn good thing we have two guys on our team who are six months away from adding MD to their signature and that the trainer we had at the game was top notch. Adam (Proctor) could barely remember his name for the first few minutes he was lying there. No one even saw what happened because he'd passed the ball and it was on the other side of the field, completely out of the play when he was taken out. There's no reason to do that to a guy at all especially when it could have lasting effects. We didn't even know who did it, no one was looking at who wasn't in the play, it so we couldn't respond in kind to the bastard. What dirty team.

Anywho, we lost in a hard fought game. Their prop was a lot bigger then me, and he knew damn well what he was doing. During the half my lock, flanker, and I had a little pow-wow and came up a plan to stop eight hundred pounds across from us from wheeling our scrum. We got it it the second half and pushed them back once. Just once but it suprised them as much as it did us. I think I'm shorter now though. Those shoulder pads some guys have are looking like a pretty nice idea now. My shoulders are a lovely purple from the scrums, my neck has stiffened from when I picked the guy off the ground and through him out of bounds right before the try line, and I felt my shoulder pop out and and back in on a different tackle. And I'm in better shape then a lot of the guys on both sides who came off the field. The only two teams we lost to this year are the two in the finals though so we technically take 3rd place again this year since St. Mikes, the other team in the playoffs had one more tie then we did. So yeah! We wanted more though.

So I've started my X-mas shopping. Hard this year. I have four people who I don't have a clue what to get them. This is not good. Katy is enforcing a limit to what we can get each other so since what I was going to get her is a bit over that I have to come up with something new. Oh well, I'll probably get it anyways and make up a sale. Unless I can actually get it on sale, that would be nice. I've got ebay going full throttle again too! Hopefully I can get my brother what I'm bidding on but I don't think I'm going to win this one. Damn it! Oh well, the stuff I want for myself no one else is bidding on so I think I'll win that one for dirt cheap but that doesn't help anybody else on my list. Curses.

Okay, I need the hot warmth of the shower... it hurts. A lot.

It's GO time!

This has been a very boring weekend. On the plus side, there was a Sushi party here, I got to hang out with Katy, and I went to Kung Fu Film Friday. Not to mention watching 'Crippled Masters' during the sushi business. A very disturbing movie to say the least. I did a lot of school work too. Not as much as I'd hoped but more then I actually thought I'd get done.

But the important part of this weekend is in a couple of hours. It's time somebody finally kicked Skule's ass in the playoffs, and we plan to be the ones to do it! So as we take to the pitch and shout our ancient and time honored war cry, everybody think Rugby thoughts, say 'Go Vic!', and give a prayer. It can't hurt.

So just about everybody I know has had people come visit them this year. Except for me. I don't fully understand it to tell you the truth. I mean, if you're underage, in school, and you have a friend with an apartment in an area where you ARE legal... that's a no brainer right? Why the hell is it taking people so long to get their shit wired and up here? WE HAVE A FUTON!

Let's be rational. Go on vacation, have a good time, and hit up the clubs your country doesn't feel your prepared for. Or bars. Or nothing and sleep the entire time. I don't really care! Just get over here!

my eyes are getting worse

I have a few minutes before I have to get to class it seems, thought I'd finally post. This week has not been a pleasant one. I haven't seen Katy at all so she's annoyed with me, I haven't slept much, so my body is annoyed with me, and I haven't done anything but homework it seems, so I'm annoyed with me. Stupid schooling. Well no I know it doesn't work like that but whatever. On the bright side, University of Toronto was ranked 37th in the world as far as schools go. Which is pretty sweet. On the dark side, that doesn't make me feel any better about this past week.

I think the LotR gang is going to be annoyed with me tonight when I ditch them for Katy. I should probably be working on my essay anyways but of the two, pirates or Katy, Katy wins by a LARGE margin. Okay, time to go to class! Yes for International Law! Please god let it be the good prof... the other one sucks something terrible.

I really really dislike the morning hours. It takes me so long to wake up. I sucks.

Excursion Around the Bay - Great Big Sea

Working flashbacks!

Yeah for birthday parties! It's Brians birthday today so we went out. To Dan, Keith, Brian and Nicole's place (which forever more shall be known as Dan's) first and then to the green room. Honestly I don't understand the high appeal the bar enjoys. It's an okay place and I have nothing against it but it's not my favorite.

It was also Matt Lalonde's birthday dinner and party tonight so I went to Katy's house for dinner. Alan was there and he's a Firefly fan as well. It's all about the cowboys in space. It's them and revolvers that will survive the apocalypse. It's good to see someone engaging the family in geek culture over there and good to see that Sam is also really enjoying it.

So I'm somewhat inebriated and need sleep for my game tomorrow. Fuck Tony for giving me the wrong schedule and preventing me from seeing Shawn of the Dead with Kit and Patrick today. Patrick is here from Edmonton by the way, old friend of Katy's Seems to not be having a horrible time which is good. I don't really know if he even likes me but I'm fairly positive I don't sketch him out or anything so it's all good I suppose. Again fucking asshole screwed up my whole beginning of the day. Missed Rugby practice too damn it!

Alrighty then. I need to be more coherant in my next post. Tomorrow is going to suck. I already know I'm going to spend more time then I ever want to with my nose in a book that I don't want to read. Yeah. School work. Boo (quoting Heather)!!!

Yes for proofreaders!

Friends and family who proof-read things for you are great. Like my Mom when she corrected 'retourning' for me. Thanks Mom!

So now that I'm mostly over the vomiting stage of Bush's re-election I'm going to move on! Yes! Forge ahead for a new future! Go me go! Go me go!

Who am I kidding. I'm overworked, undersleeped, and don't get to see Katy enough. That sucks. On the plus side Hilary Clinton could be the first woman president ever in four or eight years. And Patrick is coming so Katy is in a pretty good mood as she doesn't get to see her Edmonton friends very often. Cool. Alrighty, to the work! Go work go!

Yeah I don't believe it either.

Why Does the Sun Shine? - They Might Be Giants

I guess Hell did freeze over.

Well I guess I'll be living in Canada for the next four years at least. If the Red Sox winning the World Series was a sign of the impending Apocalypse then what does Bush getting reelected mean? There are people with PhDs who consider him the man who will lead us all into WWIII. I think I'll go throw up now.

...And Justice For All - Metallica

Hope. Pray. Beg?

Florida, what have you done? If getting hit by five hurricanes, all of whom spared districts who voted Gore last time wasn't a sign from God, maybe the next four years of hell we may have to endure might wake you up. See what you've done? Ohio, please don't doom the U.S. to the constant loathing that it is enduring from nearly every other nation in the world. Please. I can't keep justifying the States to people. It's too much. I'm tired of saying "I didn't vote for him." Why don't people understand that the world hates Bush, that him in office is as much of a security threat as Bin Laden ever was. The country is a mess, and is going downhill. Please please please let it turn around. I want to have the option of studying in the States. If Bush wins I don't think I can do that. Morally I object to just to many things that he's done, that he stands for, and if he's leading the country, I don't think I can live there. I will point out though, that every center of major culture has voted for Kerry. New York, Jersey, Massachusetts, California, Penn, Washington, even DC (90% of the people who live in the same city as W. Bush want him out of office...hmmm). I'll go pray now.

Sylvia Plath whines a lot.

I'm really tired right now. But after the weekend I pulled that's not suprising. I just love that bus trip to and from home. Especially when in Burlington the bus breaks down three times and we end up having to switch to a new one. Now mind you this was after 12+ hours on the road and 45 minutes away from the bus station, I was annoyed to say the least. That sentance wasn't complete so I'll make this shorter then I was planning since I have to go to bed. I was thinking of doing work and I might still get something constructive done but I think the all nighter will come tomorrow instead. The other bad thing about returning on a Monday is that your tired all day before you go to your 6-9 class. And that hurts the brain meats.

The one shining beacon of light on my day today is that I know that eventually I get to see Katy. And that is a wonderful thing indeed. Especially now that Milo (and all the vowels in that name are long thank you) is wearing his Sox uniform, having a brewskie and watching sports T.V. Ahh the good life, I pray that I get back to it soon.
