Brain tangent overload.

Here I am flipping through books and journal articles trying to hunt down yet another reference I seem to have misplaced when from nowhere, I am struck by inspiration.

It's truly sad my inspirational a-ha moment of the day has such very little to do with anything resembling a useful thought.

What struck my sleep deprived caffeine addled brain you ask? Which of her manifold and unfathomable mysteries did our shy lady universe finally reveal to me you demand? What for the love of god did he smite into thine brain!?!

I finally realized where I'd seen the actress playing Coach Beiste in Glee before, in the movie Boondock Saints.

Yeah.
I know.
Pathetic.

And really freakin' random.

To show how even MORE of a mess I think I'm becoming at present, and also cause it's damn funny to me (I will reference the lack of sleep in the future as I disavow any responsibilities I may subsequently inherit by smacking you too hard with stupid. Plus, it's not like I'm reaching through the screen holding your head still with one hand while I keep your eye forced open and make you read this either. And so ends one long ass parenthetical.) I'm appending something I related in an email with regards to words I stated out loud to an empty apartment while cracking my knuckles like shit just got serious...

"Okay, I'm out of encounter powers, didn't get a short rest after the last battle, I've hit up my second wind, I'm spending two actions every round just to maintain effects, and I'm bloodied to boot. But I've got me a temp hp bubble from my potion of caffeine, a +2 bonus to all my defenses, and an automatic pure fucking grit damaging aura up for anything that wants to go mano-e-mano with me, and I've still gots me an action point ready to go.

I'm totally gonna smack you Mr. essay-beast back into submission, you hear me essay?!?

Roll for initiative bitch."

Sigh... back to reality.

Of poop and santa.

Today is the Santa Claus parade, and the route just happens to pass right outside where I work. Sunday's are usually busy here for us, but it's been interesting to say the least. Especially since nice and early in the day some poor little baby did an oopsies in the pool and it'll be closed for the busiest day for swimming lessons.

HOORAY!

It's been AWESOME today.

My backpack's got jets,

I'm Boba, the Fett,
I bounty hunt for Jabba Hutt
to finance, my Vette.

This song has been stuck in my head all morning. I like it, but it can go away now. It just keeps skipping back to the chorus.

My essay is nearing some semblance of well, an essay. Instead of quotes and random assortments of ideas scattered around from a whole whackton of sources that I didn't have even at the beginning of this week.

Seriously though, that reference librarian has some crazy innate eldritch powers of finding shit. Just the one though, the other one I dealt with wasn't too helpful so I just went back to the first. It was fun but I suddenly had tons more info to sort through and deal with for this paper. Which I suppose is a very good problem to have right?

Just fucking vote. <- That's the period.

I don't care who you vote for (okay I do a little, but I can agree to disagree), but please please vote. Just vote. Don't 'meh', don't say you don't care, just vote. If I can, in Toronto Ontario Canada, go through the process of absentee ballot to vote, you can mosey on down the street to your polling place. I vote in elections here too! Most people only have one civic duty!Yes they're usually in your neighborhood. I vote in elections here as well! Most people only have one civic duty! I've been spending a lot of time in the libraries around campus over the last two days. Thank god for the coffee shop updates, the guy at the place near the Trin library saw me in line and just changed the tv station for me without me asking until an update came on and was over. Awesome, and embarrassing.

If only one person reads this I'm fine with that, as long as that person fucking VOTES! Of course most of you that I know and who occasionally read this are either a. Canadian citizens, or b. An American citizen living outside of the United States. But if you know people still in the states, remind them to vote too!

(The title links to where you can find your polling place. No excuses! VOTE!)
